RC NV - Bomb Drop/Night Fly/Campout

No...we are not dropping real bombs or any pyrotechnics. Otherwise, we don't care what you drop or how you drop it. Official Bomb Drop event will take place on Saturday, May 10th. Dry camping Friday and Saturday night. Night flying Friday and Saturday night.
Overview: this is a fun and challenging event that is a favorite for pilots and spectators. A target will placed midfield on the furthest side of the runway. Multiple pilots will be taking off, making low (practice) passes, dropping their payload and landing all at the same time. Pilots will do their best to coordinate with each to avoid dramatic events while trying to drop their payload closest to the target.
Event Rules
- All pilots must register by 9 a.m.
- Pilots will compete in a three (3) round event with rounds starting at 9:30, 10:00 and 10:30.
- Each round is twenty (20) minutes long.
- All participating pilots will share the same start and end times per round. Example: Round will will start at 9:30 and end at 9:50. A pilot may takeoff, drop and launch at any time during this window regardless of other pilots actions with safety taking priority. A pilot does not have to launch at the opening of the round and can choose to launch at any time but when the time has runout, no more drops count.
- Pilots shall call "take off, low pass and landing. The pilot who is in position doing what they called has the right of way over all other flight traffic with the exception of a pilot who has called any emergency.
- A pilot may drop up to three (3) payloads per round.
- Only one aircraft per pilot per round will be allowed. A pilot may use a different aircraft for each round.
- If a pilot crashes their aircraft before safely landing their aircraft then all payloads dropped during that flight will not be scored, but still count towards their three (3) allowed drops per round.
- Each round will be scored as follows: closest = 5 points, second closest = 3 points, 3 closest = 1 point.
- No explosives, incendiary devices or smoke generators are allowed.
- Pilots may be disqualified per round by the judge(s) for any action deemed less than safe or fair.
- No High Alpha or hovering flight maneuvers.
- The points will be added up from all three (3) rounds.
- Prizes will be determined prior to the start of the event.
